On November 6, 2018, Missouri residents voted to approve constitutional amendment #2, allowing access to medical marijuana for qualifying patients certified by a Missouri State licensed physician. Missouri joins the nation as the 32nd medicolegal state. Built into the law are deadlines by when each item needs to be completed. So far, the state has met all expected deadlines and is working at a furious pace! We are trying to keep ahead of the timeline and will share updates with you. The state anticipates that at least 2% of Missouri residents will apply for the card. Since it is the recommendation from a physician that could be considered the “rate-limiting step,” we anticipate that there will be serious wait times and encourage you to get ahead of the game and obtain your physician certification from your healthcity doc as soon as possible. Should time lapse or if the State is facing delays and should the validity/expiration of the Physician Certification be in question, we will be happy to provide updated information and an updated physician certification prior to date of submission.
